Love as the Root of all Money

Love as the Root of all Money
Artist and Owner of Image: Dadara

A brilliant artist, Dadara, once said that "Love as the Root of all Money" since the motivation to exchange for goods is love. For example, you need to eat, live, fulfill needs of your family, and money is just the tool to complete the transaction. After the process of spending money, we use this purchased item for doing good things. But instead of loving the process of producing the goodness at the end, people become so focused on the medium of exchange: money. In reality, money itself is not backed by any tangible asset, it is guaranteed by the institution which it manufactures. Because of this reason, many people agreed that "Money is the Root of all Evil" when they heard about it.

In the old days, you can find small stores where you personally know the store owners and you may also have some personal relationship with them. When you're making a purchase, it seems like you are making connections to them as well. In this process, there is an intangible energy flow through within the exchange cycle. Nowadays, big chain stores like Walmart or Target, there are no connections at all, and you won't see the same register cashier twice. There is no connection or relationship building up and thus people do not even feel the energy of love anymore. Shop in a few mom and pop shops next time, try to see if you can experience the differences. Dadara believes that when we use money, it's not an one-way transaction. He said that there is also a given of something back when you buy something from someone. He also said, "And when we realize that money is just an agreement, and can be used as energy to make things happen, we should realise that the act of giving the money is as important as receiving what we bought. And we should only give it to those we love, and do things we love. Also using money as a means of exchange instead of this magical thing, which seems to have taken control of our lives." If you live in a fast pace environment, perhaps, you should slow down just for once and think about it. Spend money with love intention next time, and may be you will see and feel the wonders behinds it. When I was very little, I borrowed some money from my dad in order to get some gift from a small gift shop for my mom on her Mother's day. I still remembered what I bought, but had no recollection of how much it cost. So I think when you didn't have the concept of money, you remembered better on the importance of the event and the memory you had was priceless.
